Clothing
Clothing The creation of God, the world and human beings are something holy. God's work. The beauty of the world, the beauty of nature, the beauty of the human being, are what we should also devoutly internalize in the question of human clothing. What we wear as clothing should be an expression of our inner being, and we should also consider what we represent to our fellow human beings with its appearance. "And what do you care about clothing? Learn from the lilies of the field how they grow: they neither work nor spin, but I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of them," (Matthew 6:28-29). Although this is a quotation from the New Testament, it is also a reference to the beauty of the outward appearance. To the human responsibility to take care of one's own appearance as respect for the environment. "Souvenirs of their appearance in heaven were to be created by men in their garments. You will therefore often have to go back to older times if you want to find meaningful clothing. ... that the spiritual-emotional that you bring down from heaven to earth is expressed in your clothing. Thereby the clothing gets sense", (B161, 1.6.1923). What man brings from the spiritual world at his birth wants to express itself in our shells, in our clothing, in colours, cuts and forms. "We see in the art of clothing, in so far as it is perceived as art, that which the human soul strives for after it has submerged from the spiritual world into the physical one", (B161, 2.6.1923).
